Native, cross-platform or progressive web app?
This is the first real decision in any app development project, and getting it wrong is expensive in both directions.
Cross-platform development with React Native or Flutter is the right default for the large majority of business apps. One codebase produces polished iOS and Android apps, development cost drops substantially against building twice, and every future change ships to both platforms at once.
Fully native development in Swift or Kotlin earns its premium when you are pushing the hardware: heavy graphics, complex camera or sensor work, deep OS integration, or performance ceilings that cross-platform cannot reach.
A progressive web app skips the stores entirely. It installs to the home screen, works offline, sends push notifications on modern devices, and updates instantly without review. If you do not need deep hardware access, a PWA is often the fastest and cheapest way to find out whether people actually want your app.
How we run an app development project
App projects fail on scope far more often than on engineering. Our process is built to protect the first release from everything that can be added later.
We define the smallest version that delivers the core value, design it properly, build it in two-week increments you can install on your own phone, and launch. Version two is planned from real usage data rather than from the wish list written before anyone had used anything.
App design and user experience
Phone users are ruthless. An app that confuses someone in the first thirty seconds gets deleted and rated one star, and re-acquiring that user costs more than the design would have.
We design against the platform conventions people already know: iOS and Android navigation patterns, native gestures, system typography scaling, dark mode, and accessibility settings including larger text and reduced motion.
